Get Ready to Say “WOW” With Wowbutter!
As mom to a son with a severe nut allergy, I understand firsthand how hard it can be to find safe, allergy-friendly foods for kids to snack on. When I heard about Wowbutter and how it’s a perfect peanut and tree nut free alternative to peanut butter, I knew I had to get my hands on some!
Wowbutter has the same creamy and rich texture and taste of peanut butter, but without the allergens. These delicious spreads are made in a 100% dedicated peanut free, tree nut free, gluten free, dairy free and egg free facility, so parents don’t have to worry about cross-contamination. After sneaking a tiny taste straight from the jar, I was amazed that I wasn’t eating peanut butter! Immediately, I started thinking of all the fun treats that I could now make for my nut allergic son. I couldn’t wait to get in the kitchen and whip up a batch of Wowbutter cookies, or pack celery and Wowbutter in his lunch bag. All of these classic kid-friendly snacks could now be enjoyed by my son and kids with food allergies everywhere…WOW!

That’s one of the reasons why we love Wowbutter, since this spread is MORE nutritious than peanut butter. Wowbutter is a complete protein food, since it contains all 9 essential amino acids, whereas peanut butter only contains 6 of the 9. Wowbutter is also packed full of essential fatty acids, vitamin E and calcium, making it an all-around healthy treat for kids everywhere.
Wowbutter has dozens of recipes available for free on their website, but our favorite is the Marshmallow Squares. I love that this recipe only calls for four ingredients and takes three simple steps to create, making it perfect for busy parents. To make it a little festive, I plan on using Easter-colored marshmallows to whip up this treat for my kids on Easter morning!
